Throughout the year, you'll find Agitated Kraken Miniatures out and about at conventions, comic cons, gaming events and community gatherings across Kent and beyond.
It's a chance to come and say hello, see our miniatures and gaming accessories up close, discover what's new, and chat all things miniatures and gaming.
We also love getting involved with the wider hobby community, from running miniature painting experiences and competitions to supporting gaming events and meeting fellow hobbyists.

Canterbury Gaming Convention
📅 15th–16th August 2026
Canterbury Gaming Convention is one of the events we're particularly excited about this year!
We'll be bringing along a selection of our 3D printed miniatures, gaming accessories, dice towers, scenery and other goodies.
We'll also be getting involved with the miniature painting competition, giving visitors the chance to pick up a brush and have some fun painting their own miniature.

Modelfest at the Museum
📍 RAF Manston History Museum
📅 24th–25th October 2026
We're excited to be heading back to RAF Manston History Museum this October for Modelfest at the Museum!
We'll be bringing along a selection of our 3D printed miniatures, gaming accessories and other creations, giving you the chance to see our range up close and discover what's new.
🎨 We'll also be running our miniature painting experience!
Fancy having a go at miniature painting? Come along, pick up a brush and have a go at creating your very own painted miniature. Whether you're completely new to the hobby or already love painting, it's a great chance to get creative and have some fun.
We'll be looking forward to meeting fellow hobbyists, discovering some amazing models and enjoying another fantastic weekend surrounded by the modelling, gaming and creative community.

Have a Go at Miniature Painting
One of the things we love most about attending events is giving people the chance to try miniature painting.
Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush before or you're already an experienced hobbyist, our painting activities are designed to be fun, relaxed and welcoming.
We love seeing people of all ages sit down, pick up a brush and create something that's uniquely theirs.
🏆 MINIATURE PAINTING COMPETITIONS
From One Accidental Competition to Something We Love
Our journey into running miniature painting competitions started completely by chance.
At our very first Canterbury Gaming Convention, we were given the opportunity to run a miniature painting competition.
To be completely honest, we weren't prepared!
We didn't have enough paint brushes. We didn't have enough paint. But we had plenty of enthusiasm!
Despite the challenges, we quickly realised how much we enjoyed giving people the opportunity to sit down, pick up a brush and get creative.
That experience showed us something important — this was something we wanted to do more of.
Since then, we've worked on improving our setup and making sure we're properly prepared to give visitors the best experience possible.

2025 — Where It All Began
Canterbury Gaming Convention
Our first ever event! By chance, we were given the opportunity to run a miniature painting competition.
We didn't have enough brushes or paint, but the experience helped us realise that miniature painting was something we wanted to bring to future events.
2025/2026 — Growing the Idea
Canterbury Gaming Convention at Powell-Cotton Museum
Our next Canterbury Gaming Convention was a fantastic event and gave us the opportunity to run another miniature painting competition.
It was also the first time we were sponsored by The Army Painter, helping us take our painting activities to the next level.
Herne Bay Comic-Con
We also joined the community at Herne Bay Comic-Con.
Although we were set up outside in a gazebo, it was still a great opportunity to meet people and spend the day alongside some brilliant fellow traders and friends.
We were lucky enough to be alongside Dice and Destiny, and it was great catching up with Darius and his daughter Jess, as well as Andrew — who is also behind Canterbury Gaming Convention.
Events like these are about more than just selling products. They're about meeting people, making connections and being part of the local gaming and convention community.
Maidstone Comic-Con
Maidstone Comic-Con was a brilliant day filled with miniatures, gaming and plenty of geeky fun!
We brought along a selection of our products, including miniatures, dice towers, busts, Gachapon and dragon can holders.
We also had the chance to meet some fantastic people throughout the day — and even got to meet Hattie Hayridge, best known for playing Holly in Red Dwarf!
Comicon at the Museum
Comicon at the Museum at the RAF Manston History Museum was a fantastic opportunity to get out and meet fellow gamers, collectors and comic con fans.
We brought along a selection of our miniatures and gaming products, giving visitors the opportunity to see our range up close and discover some of the things available through Agitated Kraken Miniatures.
We also ran our miniature painting experience, giving visitors the chance to pick up a brush and have a go at painting their own miniature.
It's always great to meet new people and introduce them to what we do.
